Well Family Psychology is a fee-for-service practice that does not contract with insurance companies. Although we’re not in-network with any insurance companies, we can provide the necessary information for out-of-network reimbursement, and many of our clients choose to use their insurance plans in this way.
We do accept HSA and FSA accounts. We offer services at various investment levels by employing multiple professionals (e.g., Psychologists, Counselors, and trainees). Please contact us for information about the specific fees and services you may need.
The No Surprises Act took effect on January 1, 2022, and seeks to eliminate surprise medical billing, especially for individuals not using insurance to cover medical services. This act requires healthcare practices to inform you of the cost of services associated with your treatment plan in advance. You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate of services before treatment and receive updated estimates as treatment needs change.
At Well Family Psychology, each service is billed individually, and clients may discontinue services anytime. Before scheduling, you will be informed of the exact fee for each service, and you and your provider will discuss the recommended frequency of sessions based on your needs.
We recommend asking your insurance company the following three questions to better understand your benefits and the likelihood of reimbursement.
- Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
- If yes, how much will be reimbursed (e.g., percentage or flat rate)?
- Do I have an out-of-network deductible?
Your insurance company may request the service CPT code, our NPI, and Tax ID. All of this information is located on your Well Family Psychology invoice.
When you begin your research to find a therapist who’s right for your child and family, it can be overwhelming and confusing. We simplify the process by offering guidance and education via phone before you schedule your first visit. We want to ensure we answer all your questions so you’re comfortable before setting your first appointment.
When you call or email us, our Intake Coordinators will promptly respond and share detailed information about how our practice works. They’ll gather your information to determine which therapist best suits your needs. If we are not the right fit, we’ll gladly give you referrals that will hopefully meet your needs. Our goal is to help individuals and families connect with mental health support that is suitable for them.
Our practice schedules appointments Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Some providers offer appointments during the evening hours or on weekends. For scheduling options and therapist availability, please contact our office.
These testing services assess cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional function and well-being. You can download our free Guide to Assessment here.
You choose! You can visit one of our office locations or schedule a telehealth appointment. We’ll work with you to schedule your appointment during the hours that best meet your needs. Telehealth appointments offer you the most flexibility and are available for clients located in California.
Everyone is unique, so your therapist will recommend a personalized treatment plan for your needs. Therapy is a journey, and much like practicing basketball or taking a class, the more time and energy you invest, the more you will get out of it. Therapy also involves phases, and it may take a few sessions to get through the intake process and get to the point of “feeling” what therapy will be like with your provider on an ongoing basis. Therefore, we encourage all clients to attend at least 2-4 sessions before finalizing treatment decisions.
All of this information is available on your Well Family Psychology invoice. If you’re unsure about what is what, you can always call or email us for clarification.
